I just saw a #YouTube thumbnail for a Star Trek oriented channel video with a title like: "Was Neelix really so bad?" and I'm thinking to myself, "Yeah, he was."

When a #YouTube creator you've been watching for years but who never appeared on camera one day shows their face in a video and you say to yourself "Man I wish they hadn't done that."
"Monty Python and the Holy Grail" (1975) has just popped (currently free, probably U.S. only) on #YouTube Movies and TV. I believe (offhand) that this is the first time it's been there (at least with free status), and probably hasn't been there more than a few minutes (less than 20 comments as this instant).
"NI!"
Currently free (probably U.S. only) on #YouTube Movies & TV is the remarkable 1955 film "Night of the Hunter", starring Robert Mitchum, Shelly Winters, and Lillian Gish -- and a host of others. It tells the story of a Depression era traveling "preacher" who is actually a serial killer -- with H A T E tattooed on the fingers of one hand and L O V E on the fingers of the other. It was a critical and financial failure, and was the only film credited to famed actor Charles Laughton as director. From the opening credits onward, it is obviously not a conventional film of the time, and it is heavily influenced by German expressionism. Largely seen from the point of view of two siblings being chased by Mitchum's character, it stunningly (other than a couple of establishing shots taken back East) was entirely shot here in L.A., mostly in sound stages including the crucial river scenes. It is often described as a Horror Fairy Tale, and over the years has become one of the most acclaimed film masterpieces of all time. I recommend it VERY highly. I can pretty much assure you that you've never seen any other film like it before! - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4kgZd8jeVyQ
If I still blogged, I'd blog about #sincerity based upon this article.

Just imagine the shitshow if #YouTube decided that their videos would no longer play in a different tab and had to be the one in use.
